Alumni Engagement

The alumni of the university are distributed across the world in various capacities such as technocrats, entrepreneurs, scientists, academicians, politicians, and IAS/IPS/administrative officers. RGUKT campus institutes have registered alumni associations for building a strong bond between alumni and students and faculty. The associations are registered under the associates ACT XXI of 1860.

Objectives

  • To encourage and promote close relations between the institution and its alumni and among the alumni themselves for well-being of the institution.
  • To provide and disseminate information regarding their Alma Mater, its graduates, faculties, and students, to the alumni.
  • To assist and support the efforts of the institution in obtaining funds for development.
  • To serve as a forum through which alumni may support and advance the pursuit of academic excellence at the institution.
  • To organize and co-ordinate reunion activities of the alumni and let the alumni acknowledge their gratitude to their Alma Mater.
  • To collect, publish, and distribute such information as may be useful to the alumni and their Alma Mater.

Activities of the Alumni

  • Inviting them to deliver talks, guest lectures, and alumni fora.
  • Inviting them as participants/speakers at the workshops and conferences organized by the university.
  • Placing students in their respective companies.
  • Supporting events of the university as sponsors.
  • Sharing their knowledge in a capacity of visiting faculty members.
  • Inviting contributions in upgrading the curriculum in the form of feedback.

Dr. Merugu siva Rama krishna selected for Best transaction paper award by IEEE IAS Transactions Industrial drivescommittee.
Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Srikakulam, proudly announces that Dr. M. Siva Rama Krishna, Dean of Academics, has been honored with the IEEE IAS Industrial Drives Committee Transactions Paper Award. Dr. Rama Krishna’s pioneering research paper, “Model Based Stator Interturn Fault Analysis in Synchronous Reluctance Motor Drives,” published in the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications (Vol. 60, No. 6, Nov.–Dec. 2024), was selected among the Top 3 papers worldwide in Industrial Drives for 2024. This recognition will be formally conferred at the IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE) 2025, scheduled to be held in Philadelphia, USA. Expressing immense pride, RGUKT Srikakulam lauded Dr. Rama Krishna’s relentless contributions to advancing research, mentoring students, and elevating the institution’s global recognition. His groundbreaking work continues to strengthen the university’s reputation in engineering research and innovation. “This achievement is not only a personal milestone for Dr. Rama Krishna but also a matter of great pride for our university community. It highlights RGUKT’s commitment to impactful research and academic excellence,” the university said in a statement.
