B.Tech Degree Programs and Options

The four year B.Tech part of the 6 year integrated program provides the following degree options to students.

B.Tech Programme:

B.Tech degree with a Major in any of the following branches

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Science & Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Material Science & Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

Interested students with a CGPA of more than 7.00 can take additional credits which may lead to earning Minor or double Minor or another Major. However, to earn a Minor a student has to exhibit a very good academic performance with a CGPA of more than 8.00. Similarly, to earn a double Minor or a second Major, a student has to exhibit excellent academic performance with a CGPA of more than 8.00.

Options for a 2nd Major:
  1. A 2nd Major in CSE for those with a Major in any Engineering branch other than CSE (ChE/CE/ECE/MSE/ME)
  2. A 2nd Major in any other branch of Engineering (ChE/CE/ECE/MSE/ME) for those with a Major in CSE. Minor
Options for a Double Minor:
  1. One Minor in CSE and the 2nd Minor in any of the following disciplines for those with a Major in any Engineering branch other than CSE (i.e., ChE/CE/ECE/MSE/ME)
    • Humanities including performing classical arts and Social Sciences
    • Business Management
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Biology
    • Economics
  2. Two Minors in any of the following disciplines for those with a Major in CSE
    • Humanities including performing classical arts and Social Sciences
