Vice Chancellor, Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar received an award "Telugu Paripaalanaa Bhaashaa Puraskaram" for the development of Telugu Language in a Technical Institution and was awarded on the day of International Mother Tongue Day on 21 Feb 2014 at Ravindhra Bharti Auditorium. He received the award from Dr. A. Chakrapani, Chairman, AP Legislative Council and the award function was chaired by Shri. Mandali Buddha Prasad, Chairman, AP Official Language Commission.
