3rd Anniversary of Helping Hands

at RGU IIIT, Nuzvid

'Helping Hands' is a charitable organization, nurtured by students of RGU IIIT, Nuzvid. The organization has taken an impressive shape with the utmost support and cooperation from teachers and authorities. Since its inception, students have been contributing generously and the fund of the trust was pooled up to 14 lakhs. Many unfortunate and deserving people got benefited and were grateful to the trust. The anniversary is celebrated every year on 26th August to mark the birthday of Mother Theresa.

This year on 27th August, all the students, faculty and authorities participated in its 3rd anniversary celebrations actively. Prof.Basaveswara Rao, Special Officer of Krishna University, Nuzvid and Mr.Chennaiah, DSP, Nuzvid, chief guests of the evening were fascinated to know about the noble services of the trust. Mr.A.Veera Sreenu, Chairman of the trust submitted the finance report related to the disbursement of part of funds. Organizing health camps, issuing health insurance cards and thinking of adopting remote village schools were certain future plans in his enthralled speech.

The benefited, from the Helping Hands have expressed their gratitude. A washing machine was presented to physically challenged students. Mementos were distributed to those who made invaluable service to the trust. A play-let was performed by the students on the occasion. Students have taken an oath to extend their services for the betterment of student community and society as well under the umbrella of 'Helping Hands'.
