I want to know about the degree options in BTech like aeronautics, robotics, biotechology etc.

Aeronautics, Biotechnology, Robotics and other specializations will be part of the curriculum of the mainstream engineering courses. The thesis would be the report that will be submitted after the summer internship in organizations like DRDO, NAL, CRCS etc. The selection process for the internship would be based on the SOP, GPA and other factors that the organizations would like to consider. In general, after each semester, there will be an examination conducted and there will be remedial classes in the evening using Problem-based learning. If a student secures more than 40% in the 1st year and more than 50% in the 2nd year, then he passes the course, else will have to repeat the course. Top

Marks are calculated based on the GPA. Top

We find it difficult to take the Telugu exam on a laptop. Please give us an option of writing on paper.

All learning centers at RGUKT are ICT enabled. Everything is done online. Special coaching will be provided to students to help them take the Telugu exam also online. However you can use paper first, and then type on the laptop. Top

The syllabus being covered in each semester is large and we have very little to time to prepare. Please advice.

The CBSE syllabus that RGUKT follows is tough and difficult. Not everyone will be able to cope with all the subjects. The minimum pass mark in the 2nd year and beyond is 50% in every semester. If a student doesn’t secure this, then he or she will have to repeat the subject or take a remedial.

Classroom instruction for students will be between 8Am and 12Pm. During these four hours, mentors play video lectures and give sufficient time to the students to read notes. They will also clear any doubts the students might have while reading notes.

Post lunch sessions between 1PM and 10PM are more like study hours for the students. This time is left unstructured for students to solve assignments given as part of the modules covered that day. Mentors will be available to help students and clarify any queries and doubts students might have. Top

How can the better student be identified in a system where more than one student falls into the same grade with different percentages?

In western learning experience, a mark difference of +5/-5 is insignificant. Grading variability is much higher. Any rigid adherence to marks is not good for the student’s morale. The home room tutor will be grading students using the grade point system. Top

What is the minimum percentage of marks required to secure a good job at the end of the 6 years integrated course?

You must have a minimum of 8.0 GPA or a minimum average of 70% in each subject. Top

Can a student quit the program after 2 years?

Yes, the student can quit the program at the end of the 2nd Year 3rd semester. The student can obtain a TC from RGUKT and will get credits for the courses completed. A student can also take a leave of absence for 3 months and come back if he/she wishes to. Top
